This conference is open to participants from research centres, SMEs, universities, large industries, incubators, start-ups, innovators, policymakers, institutions, investors, associations, and all professionals engaged in the space and defence sectors.


Since 2015, the Andalusia region has been hosting the International Conferences on Dual-Use Technologies. The 2024 edition will hold special significance for the space industry, as it coincides with the opening of a new ESA BIC centre in Seville, a city that also proudly hosts the newly established Spanish Space Agency. Additionally, during 2024 Seville holds the prestigious role of City Presidency of the Network of Ariane Cities.

Moreover, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) has launched an Exploratory Research Activity across three European regions, aligning with the goals of the new EU Defence Industry Strategy. The REGDUALOSA initiative focuses on Dual-Use and Defence Innovation as a means to drive regional industrial development. In Andalusia, the chosen theme is "Space and Defence".

In this context, the 2024 International Dual Use Conference will address the potential for accelerating the space industry across European regions, providing a comprehensive overview of the current opportunities, funding sources, and available instruments in the dual-use space sector.

What is offered to participants?

• Conferences on latest trends on Space and Dual-Use Technologies; Space and Earth Observation domain as new warfare scenario requiring new knowledge and industrial actors; EU and private funding opportunities. 
• Face-to-face B2B meetings with other participants in order to extend your international network and create strategic partnerships.
• Pitch session showcasing innovative Dual-Use Projects in the Space Sector.

B2B meetings

1. Register via the registration button and activate your availability for the B2B meetings.

Main organisers 

The International Conference is organized by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds, through the Agency for Economic Transformation and Development of Andalucía (Andalucía TRADE) as a member of the Andalusian node of the Enterprise Europe Network, in collaboration with others Regional Ministries of the Andalusian Government (the Regional Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines and the Regional Ministry of Universities, Research and Innovation).
